Love God, Love People

13:57

So, yeah
I know y'all curious, hmmm at least little
Just wondering what she's going to say
You know I'm curious too
'Bout what's going to  happen at the end of the day.
When the lights are out
And we're all dispersed
When all the music you hear is the silence's rhythm.
We're all seated here
Everyone with their own shade of smile
Masks covering the tears that we cry
The pain, we've learnt how to hide.
So I'm pretty curious
What's going to happen
When we're all done lifting unholy, sorry holy hands
When we're done with the emotions
All the swift dancing and motions
When the pastor's done with preaching
And the choir done with their singing
I'm a little curious about what's going to happen when we all leave here.
When the pain sets in
When the depression attacks
When it begins to seem like you're slipping back
I want to know what exactly you'll do
When you're alone and cold to the bone
When you're in class and it seems like there's nothing you know
When the heavy weights sit staring, when the task ahead is glaring
When the future's lights bears a covering
I really want to know.
Have we made this just religion
Just to come partake in the reunion
Enjoy the music and the sermon
Display emotions and then boom boom bang
We're back to the same spot
Do we just do this to create an image
So in your interviews, you can claim christian
So you'll be seen as a person with a good heart and a warm spirit?
Seriously, I want to know
Do we come here just to forget the pain for two hours
Or do we really believe that we can live without the pain
Have we become so accustomed to the burdens
That our lives feel weird without worrying?
I really do want to know
Why do we do the things that we do?
Do we really believe in this Jesus
Or still see Him as a character from Sunday School lessons
Do we agree that He is real
Or just see Him as a fiction
Do we see Him as the saviour
Or just see Him as one of those guys
Do we trust in His abilities?
Seriously, I'm curious
Because it seems like we have watered it all down
And now practice religion
The same religion that Christ delivered us from
It seems like, we love the heavy shackles, the chain
We even love the feel of pain
The pity that we seem to gain
Is what we have turned to embrace
When we have been called to a life of royalty
A life where we reign
Where things happen as we proclaim
Where our steps have been ordained
Our life and Jesus', the same
We have been given the opportunity to look into our future
We have been shown the end
But why does impatience seem to prevail
We do not want the process of travail
Our faces, we've covered with a veil
Seriously, I want to know
Why do we choose, death over life
Instead of peace, strife
Walking around with a dagger or knife
Stabbing as many hearts as we can.
What is our life without love?
Its empty!
We were made to love
We were made to care
Our pains and joy, together we can share
We can be one
We can together be strong
We can live the life of more than conquerors that we were made to live
We can!
We would just have to put a little effort
We would have to deliberately choose to love
 Love God, Love people!!
