Usually, everyone prefers to live in their comfort zone. Come to think of it, no one really wants to live an uncomfortable life. This is not just because of the uncertainty that clouds the outside and the fear that grips you just thinking about it. It is partly because we have learnt to live life by set rules and defined boundaries have held us in. The truth is that boundaries are undeniably important in our lives and we cannot turn out very good without them but the bad thing is that we were only taught to stick to the rules, our teachers just didn't specify when, where or for how long. Maybe because they had no idea themselves or because they were scared of the unknown.
Every person who has done exceptional things has had to step out of the norm. New things are not and cannot be created by doing the same things over and again with the same methods. In fact a famous quote says,
We have become mediocre in too many fields of our endeavours because we have become too afraid to do new things and take risks.
Life often presents us with choices and it may not always be seemingly easy but if we must remain relevant and remain on top of our game, we must be ready to make the choice to be better.
The truth is that, unlike we have chosen to believe, the comfort zone is not always safer. It may seem like it but the truth is that it presents itself as a real danger wrapped up in attractiveness.
In this world where everyone is zoned, from friend zone, to side-chick zone to every other kind of zone, I think the most common kind of zoning is the comfort zone.
Don't get too comfortable that you are not willing to try anything new.
